The 2001/2002 GSY committee members have planned a year full of
activities. The first event coming up is the Diwali dance and crafts for the
younger kids. We have a great DJ for the dance, and there are fun art
crafts to do. We hope to see you there on November 17th!

Also coming up is the Dandia Dhamaka. There will be a dandia
competition on February 1st, 2002. Tickets will go on sale in December. On
November 16th, there is the UofM IASA show. We hope that you will come!

There are many activities for during the year as well. We are thinking
of having a lock in December for some of the older kids, and we have planned
a formal dance in February, near the date of Valentine’s Day. We are going
to try something new this year and try to have a talent show. We hope that
a lot of you will be interested in participating. We decided that the youth
group should be more involved in volunteering with other youth groups. We will
plan those during the year, and we will probably have a car wash in the
springtime. These are some of the activities we have planned for the
